Subject: FW: Buhunds Bath Ch Show

Thanks go to Bath CA,  each of my Exhibitors and my Steward, for giving me a day to remember. Fabulous temperaments all round, both Bu and Owner!! Movement on a whole was not good, lots of weak hocks and poorly angulated pasterns. I know that single tracking is permissible, but we also had crabbing and platting, Michael Flattley would have been impressed. There is a huge variation in type, which is not a bad thing, especially with there being so many imported dogs in such a small breed.  It is only to be expected.

PD-No Entries. JD-No Entries. PGD-(4) No ABS 1.Cobb & Kents. Knytshall Diamond Ted. Adequately balanced dog, good head, eyes, and ears, feet a little long, could have moved more accurately on the up and down, overall appearance was good. RBD. 2.Pentlands. Sturtmoor Destiny’s Day. Lovely black, great angulation, fabulous hind quarters, ears expressive and mobile, good tail and set, small oval feet, superb dark almond eye, movement was an issue for him today which was a great shame as he really is something special. 3. Averys. Njordr-odinsonn Av Fjeildvidda (IMP NLD) Very typical head and great expression, I would have preferred a balanced outline, shown in excellent coat and condition, may have even had a professional handler on the day. 4.Cooks. Arnscroft Di Ablo. Sweet darling Boy! OD-(5) No ABS 1.Hood & Collins. Ch Arnscroft Di Nah Sawr Us Rex. A fabulous dog from a fabulous kennel, he did his Breeder proud today. 1,2 & 3 all contrasting types. His overall appearance was of correct proportions, well balanced, good top line, muscular and masculine, wonderful  carriage of head, he owned the ring, pleasing movement, handler needs to slow his pace, the Buhund is not built to be showy on the move, it is an arduous mover capable of a days work, this lad moves exceptionally well at his own pace. Delighted to award him BD,BOB. Both handler and dog were perfection in the group and well deserved their short listing. 2. Bethalls. Zodiac’s Featuring Fredrick at Taevas (IMP USA) Very different type from 1, reminds me very much of the bu’s back in the 1980’s, solid yet lightly built, buhunds have become extremely fine hence this lad looks on the heavy side in a line up, he is a slow maturing dog without his mature coat yet, hands on he is quite balanced. Hopefully maturity will improve his overall shape, great angulation, both front and rear, good wedge, wonderful dark almond eye, moved very well, straight coming and going, love the red wheaten, there is something about this boy I just love, I really hope he fulfils his potential. 3. Pentlands.Ch Svartkonge Av Sturtmoor (IMP NOR)One of the few that can move really well, nicely balanced compact and well proportioned black full of substance, great showman, places could have changed easily in this class on another day. 4.Vines.Ch Ailort Highlander At Parvodene. 5.Deuchers. Trelowen Ancorya. PB-No Entries-Shame!! JB-No Entries. PGB-No Entries. OB-(4) No ABS. 1. Pentlands. Bernegardens Reve Enka Av Sturtmoor (IMP NOR) Very surprised that she is not yet a Champion, ticks all the boxes, again a different type, flowing effortlessly on the move, lovely straight legs through elbow and pastern wonderful little oval feet, topline constant on the move, stylish and elegant, feminine head, lean and light, handled superbly! BB.RBOB. 2. Cobb,Cobb & Kents. Trollheimen Elske To Knytshall (IMP USA) Delightful black bitch, lovely shape, super confirmation, moderate angles, fine in structure, needs to body up, moved well. 3.Platt. Ch Ailort Just in time, relatively well balanced, very pretty, a little shorter in the neck than I would have liked, tail and set not the best, wonderful feet, rear angulation impeded her movement, a pleasure to judge this bitch such a loving tempered girl a credit to her owner and breeder. 4.Bethalls. INT.LUX Ch Arnscroft Glad Di Ola.
