CRITIQUES:
The quality of this very small entry was still much better than seen perhaps in some other minority breeds. I applaud the strides the breeders have made in working on aspects of movement, coat, balance, much improved when I think back about 20 years ago. Very good depth of quality & breed type in the bitch classes, I would have been very happy to award several CCs to them. All exhibits were wheaten unless indicated otherwise.

LD (2) Both are black dogs. 1 Lambert Sturtmoor Destiny’s Day, 2½ years dog, lightly built but in hard muscular condition. Excellent coat texture with closely fitting double coat. Correct head, eyes, ears, with his attention totally riveted on his handler. He has desired outline, very good bone, feet, topline, excellent tail. He has excellent front & side gait. RCC; 2 Walmsley’s Blakk Extacy Van Koekie’s Ranch, 3 years male having a good front, & coat texture, with very good side & read gait & good tail. I preferred the eyes & ears of the class winner. For me, he has a bit too much white on feet as well.
OD (4) 1 Lambert’s Ch Svartkonge Av Sturtmoor, I have never had the opportunity to judge this dog before, I think, but this 4 years black dog presents the breed Standard come to life, in my opinion. Excellent quality, head & expression, combining correct breed type, conformation, balance of height to length, compact light build but still with muscle, very good bone, excellent feet & tail. CC, BOB; 2 Dobson, Cale & Evans Ch/Ir Ch Arnscroft Di To Be A Sailor, 3 years with excellent head & expression, but today not using his ears to best effect. He has excellent coat, bone, legs, feet, very good gait & good front; 3 Coe’s Trelowen Big Daddy.
VD (1,1).
PB (1) 1 Hay’s Wolfen Class Act, & she is a real class act already at just 6 months. Still obviously a baby in head, but already is a good size, & on the day a bit overawed with the proceedings, but everything is there for her to go to the top & has such correct conformation & movement. BP & I will watch her development with great interest!

LB (5,1) 1 Rumssey’s Arnscroft Di Nah May, 3½ years mature bitch of excellent breed type, correct head, loved her eyes & ears. Very good front, legs, feet. She presents a well balanced example of the breed, & has correct coat with excellent tail. Very good front & side gait. RCC; 2 Glaholm Sturtmoor’s Dream Maker at Gazenorth, 2½ years bitch who right now left her coat at home, so attended the party in her ‘summer wear’, but otherwise excellent breed type for head & expression, though I would prefer just a tad more fill under the eye; typical movement for the breed, another very good one; 3 Stonton’s Trelowen Andrea.
OB (3) 1 Lambert’s Ch Bernegarden’t Reve Enka Av Sturtmoor, 6 years mature bitch having excellent head & expression, well balanced compact outline, very good topline, excellent bone & feet, very good tail, moderate angles at both ends, moved typically. CC; 2 Cobb & Kent’s Ch Trollheimen Elske to Kyntshall, 4 years black bitch not at her best today in condition either in body or coat, which is a shame as I have always liked her very much. Lightly built, finer bitch with typical head & expression, very good forehand, correct overall proportions, topline. Tail could be a bit higher set, but it was used well, moves with typical light action; 3 Lambert & Cale’s Ch Arnscroft Kiss And Tell Di for Sturtmoor.
