Results and Critiques:
Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge the Norwegain Buhunds here today and a very big thank you to the exhibitors for the lovely entry, one of the highest at the show and for braving the storm to come along.
Class JD/B (4)
1 – Lambert’s Sturtmoor’s Free’n Eezee – (B) A lovely wheaten youngster of nine months; Beautiful head with a sweet expression, level topline, square and compact, super outline and good tailset. Nice neat feet and moved well. Not overly keen on the venue perhaps but did enough for me to award her Best Puppy. 2 – Shorer-Wheeler, Wheeler & Deeley’s Sturtmoor Ffascination with Koromandel – (B) This beautiful wheaten girl is a litter sister to 1 and although a smidge longer cast has a lovely outline, level topline, a pretty head and expression and moved well. Showed to advantage and it was quite a close decision between the two. 3 – Cobb & Kent’s Knytshall Eloise – (B)
Class Open dog (6,3a)
1 – Cobb & Kent’s Ch Koromandel Best Served Cold At Knytshall – Wow, just Wow! Stunning wheaten male of almost 3 years, beautiful head with mobile ears, level topline, in fabulous condition, super outline and profile, square and compact, nice tight curl of tail, moving with drive and purpose. Best of breed. 2 – Deuchar’s Ch&Bel Ch Tonylynn’s Charles Lafitte AW(G) RL2ex – A wonderful wheaten gentleman of 12 and a half years young. A bigger dog than one, with a lovely wedge head, mobile ears, level topline, moving flawlessly to take a worthy second and continued to strut his stuff to win the veteran stakes on the day too, well done. 3 – Cobb & Kent’s Knytshall Diamond Ted
Class Open bitch (8,2a)
What a superb class of six quality ladies!
1 – Butterworth’s Koromandel Gild the Lily – What a super wheaten girl of nearly three years and litter sister to the open dog winner. She emulates his qualities, feminine head with sweet expression, in gorgeous coat and condition, tail is well set and curled, lovely outline, moving well. Just lacked the drive of the dog in the challenge. 2 – Strong’s Leggatts Dancing Queen At Draccus – A beautiful 18 month old black with a lovely head, dark eye, sweet expression and mobile ears. Although a slightly smaller bitch all over than 1, she is square, compact and lightly built with a lovely curl of tail. Nice neat feet and moved well. I feel her time will certainly come with maturity. 3 – Ch Arnscroft Di Nah May
