Thank you to the society for my appointment, a most welcoming and accommodating committee and a small but quality entry of Beautiful Buhunds awaited me.
Junior Dog: (1) 5684 Mr M, Mrs J & Mrs N Cobb & Kent – Koromandel Best Served Cold at Knytshall : Stunning young male of 14 months. Beautiful head piece, correct wedge and dark eye. Lovely mobile ears well set. Square outline, well set on tail with very nice curl. Moved with great drive for one so young, very promising. Best Dog, Best Junior and thrilled to watch him be placed Junior Group 2.
Open Dog: (1) 5684 Mr M, Mrs J & Mrs N Cobb & Kent – Koromandel Best Served Cold at Knytshall
(2) 5687 Ms A Smith – Ch Arnscroft Never Say Di : Beautiful 2½ year old male, full of breed type and quality. Lovely head, dark eye and mobile ears. Moved with drive, and good side gait. Just preferred the more compact shape of the younger dog on this occasion but worthy champion and lovely example of the breed. Reserve Best Dog.
Open Bitch: (1) 5685 Mrs J Shorer-Wheeler – Ch Maidofcopper For Koromandel JW: Gorgeous 3 year old bitch, oozes quality and femininity from her lovely wedge head and dark eye, well set and used ears, well set and curled tail, presented in very good hard condition and coat. Moves out with drive and excellent side gait. Well deserved Best of Breed over her gorgeous son who may well pip her to the post on another occasion. Represented the breed soundly in the pastoral group.
(2) 5683 Mrs LJ Butterworth – Rikarlo Henrietta : A pretty 4 year old bitch, just feeling the effects of the warm day today and wouldn’t put up her tail despite it being well set. Lovely dark eyes and wedge head, moved out well and showed a lovely outline. Reserve Best Bitch.
