A big thank you to the exhibitors for making my day so enjoyable and for the support and encouragement you gave to the winners of each class. Also, my thanks to my very capable stewards who kept everything moving smoothly.
It has been a while since I last judged Buhunds and must congratulate the breeders on the excellent breed type we are currently seeing in the ring. Lovely wedge heads with the required dark eyes, with a good compact body giving a balanced picture and tight tails. We were lucky to have an indoor ring (with the temperature rising outside) and the size of the ring gave plenty of space for assessing movement. I was very pleased to see that movement has definitely improved, both front and rear, since I last judged.

- COBB & KENT – KOROMANDEL BEST SERVED COLD AT KNYTSHALL
14 months youngster full of quality, he is a beautiful clear wheaten I loved his head which is maturing nicely. Darkest of eyes giving the required lively expression, with a lovely neck and shoulders and level topline when moving and standing. He is well muscled, which showed in his movement around the ring. He was very close to winning the RCC today, just lost out on maturity but I believe he has the potential of reaching the top drawer, a very promising youngster and one to watch for the future.
POST GRAD DOG (1, 0a)
- SERCOMBE – TRELOWEN COLANE
20 months black youngster who took time to settle today. He has a very typical spitz wedge with a lovely dark eye, which is always needed in the black coated dogs. Very mobile ears giving him an alert expression, liked his length of neck and shoulder placement, body shape is very much the teenager stage at the moment but given time he should mature into a well balanced male. Good strong movement, he is very well muscled especially in the hindquarters.
LIMIT DOG (1, 0a)
- STONTON – ARNSCROFT IN DI ANA JACK
Compact clear wheaten, loved his outline when standing and on the move. He may not be as large as some of the males in the ring but he is so balanced. Excellent wedge head with a dark eye and good ear carriage, correct neck and shoulder placement, good strong body and level topline when standing and on the move. Another well muscled dog, who covered the ground with strong strides. RCC.

DCC, I was so pleased to hear this was his magical third ticket a well deserved champion BOB.

- BUTTERWORTH – KOROMANDEL GILD THE LILY
Beautiful feminine bitch just 14 months, just loved her balanced outline. Clear wheaten, correct spitz head, darkest of eyes giving that melting expression, lovely neck and shoulders, good firm body, correct tail and set, lovely neat feet. Another good mover with strong front and rear action. Well deserved RBCC, I believe she has a very promising future in the show ring.
- NORMAN, HUSSEY, ISAACS & STIRLING – ARNSCROFT DELILAH AT VEEKAY
Another quality youngster of 14 months, wheaten in good coat and condition. Pretty feminine head, lovely expression from her dark eyes, with mobile ears. I liked her neck and shoulder placement, just felt she was slightly long cast at the moment which didn’t give me the balanced outline. However at only 14 months she has plenty of time to mature and complete the picture. Very neat feet and good muscle tone.
POST GRAD BITCH (1, 0a)
- HAY – WOLFEN CLASS ACT
Clear wheaten with a very pretty expression, correct wedge head, eye colour and mobile ears. Lovely neck and shoulders, good solid body with correct tail and set. She is well muscled and has good strong strides when going around the ring. As a larger framed bitch she can sometimes lose that balanced outline when standing.
